3 July 2017: The Woodlands Wellington Masters will play an 11-a-side exhibition match in Woodlands Stadium at the end of July. The match will see numerous ex-players from both the Rams' S.League and Prime League sides forming two teams to take on each other.

Some household names which have confirmed their attendance include Dalis Supait, Mohd Mardani, Zakaria Awang, Nasiruddin 'Kuda' Sawardi as well as English striker Stuart Young, who spent a successful season with Woodlands in 1997. Our writer understands that Young would be flying in specially for the exhibition game.

Speaking to The Unofficial S.League Podcast, former Woodlands Wellington General Manager R. Vengadasalam, who is the organizer for the friendly, hopes that the fans will enjoy watching the Woodlands Masters in action once again after so many years.

"I hope that this would be one of the catalysts to bring back the strong support Woodlands fans had for the club in the past as we look forward to its return to the S.League." said the 56 year old.
